The Divine 9 of ABQ is the coordination umbrella for Albuquerque's Alumni Black Greek Letter Organizations (BGLOs). This site shall serve as a public forum to publicize events, provide contact information and present a means of communication with and among the member organizations. While there are nine historically Black Greek Letter Organizations, commonly referred to as "the Divine Nine" there are currently eight alumni organizations present in Albuquerque. The Divine Nine (in order of founding) are: Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc.

Saturday, January 13th, 2018 - The New Mexico Martin Luther King Jr. State Commission will convene the Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative March beginning at the intersection of MLK Drive and University Ave. The march will end in Civic Plaza with a short program of speakers and presentations. Monday, January 15th, 2018 - In celebration of the memory, legacy and good works of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Grant Chapel AME will host for their 22nd Annual MLK Community Commemorative Breakfast at 7:30AM at the Marriott Pyramid North Hotel located at 5151 San Francisco Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. Divine Nine organizations or their members often participate as table sponsors, scholarship contributors and/or members of the program. For more details, click "more".

Saturday, January 27th, 2018 - The UNM Africana Studies Program and UNM African American Student Services will present their 33rd Annual Black History Month Kick Off Brunch at 11AM on January 27th. The keynote will be provided by Dr. Corey D.B. Walker, Vice-President & Dean of the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology & Professor of Religion & Society at Virginia Union University.
